Each year before holiday season, I have to think what to give to my family members and friends as gifts. I love to give them something that is beautiful and,at the same time, practical and useful everyday. So I've come up an idea to design a series.

I have always loved the classic royal blue ceramic china. Since drinking coffee is one of America's favorite pastimes, I decided to start several series of crockery with designs that are based on my art work- particularly, three series that depict local scenery, birds and flowers. Most of the illustrations on these wares incorporate Chinese calligraphy and original poetry of my own. These mugs and cups are idea gifts for weddings--because they add "something blue"--or for anyone who just want to collect or display artfully designed crockery or have it to enjoy for personal, everyday use.
